After an entertaining first round of fixtures, this weekend sees The Championship throw up some tasty treats. Norwich City host Sheffield Wednesday after both sides secured opening day wins. Newcastle aim for their first win with a home tie against Huddersfield and Wigan host Blackburn as Owen Coyle returns to the DW Stadium for the first time since leaving as manager.

Norwich City vs Sheffield Wednesday (Saturday 13th August 17:30)

A rampant win over Blackburn saw Norwich take the early lead at the trop of the table, whilst Wednesday secured a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Victory here for either team will be a massive boost to confidence and a real statement of intent so early in the season. Norwich will be flying and winger Sergi Canos could make his debut after signing from Liverpool this summer.

An interesting side story is the return to Carrow Road for Gary Hooper who had a mixed spell with the canaries, he will be looking to put one over his old employers.

Norwich will be the favourites but if Wednesday can thwart the attacking talent of Wes Hoolahan and co. then they could well nick this.

STATS: Wednesday have won 8 of their last 10 against the Canaries.

Prediction – Norwich City 2 – 1 Sheffield Wednesday
