Crewe Alexandra vs Blackpool
A battle to avoid the drop to League 2 is the game of the weekend for the 3rd tier. Both sides will be fighting right to whistle to earn 3 points in a bid to ensure safety.

Both sides 22nd and 23rd respectively, Crewe however are 5 points behind the Seasiders and will not escape the drop-zone with a win but will breathe life into a campaign full of struggle. Blackpool however may escape depending on other results, but have had their struggles both on and off the field, with protest battles against a defiant board and now they face back to back relegations which would be disastrous for the Tangerines.

Brad Inman should be fit for Crewe.

The last time the two teams met this season, Blackpool got a 2-0 home win so the Railwaymen will be gunning for revenge at Gresty Road. Both teams haven’t had a win in their last 5 matches and will be desperate to turn their fortunes around.

Crewe have stayed up on the final day of each of the last two seasons and are now budgeting for two different scenarios and whether some of their players will be staying or going. Alex midfielder Brad Inman is back on course to be fit for the relegation 6 pointer and Watford loanee Uche Ikpeazu could well be the one to watch for the ‘Pool.

Karl Oyston is an unpopular figure at Blackpool.

Such a massive game at this stage of the season could be crucial in deciding who ends up dropping down to the fourth tier which is where neither side wants to be.
